Another great Istari chapter! I love how you establish the wizards' individual personalities, especially Alatar being the one who's good at killing things. Radagast's unconditional embrace of All Living Things is particularly moving, but I can also see how it would frustrate the others--no wonder he ran off with the birds towards the end of the third age. Gandalf does have awesome hand-eye coordination, and I especially liked this description of the proto-Watcher: Its pupils seemed to open onto wells of ill intent. Well done!
