Heh! Good, I'm glad Saruman reads well to one of his chief fans! I'm sure Sauron and Saruman operate on a level of mutual suspicion and expediency - they're using each other, they both know it. What matters right now is that they have both committed not to be on the side of the West; that Saruman gets things done that Sauron needs done, and can do them better than other minions; that Sauron has all the odds on his side, which is important to Saruman who doesn't want to be of the hunted resistance when Mordor rolls through; and that they both know the other isn't trustworthy in the end.
So yeah, I'm sure each one has one or two contingency plans to use against the other at need - it's the smart bet.
