It makes me imagine most of the Elves weeping superstitiously at the event Oh, I like that idea - and could very well see it happening! Perhaps not with the Iathrim, since Melian may have acted as some sort of ~illuminator~ (and did so canonically), but perhaps with the Nandor or Laiquendi who had fewer resources to hint at the purposes of the Valar.
