I write under the name Amy Fortuna and I'm passionate about pretty much everything to do with Middle-earth and Tolkien. I'm more of a book fan than a movies fan - I enjoyed the movies and certainly do read fic about them, but they're like big-budget fanfic themselves to me - and I really like exploring the details and corners of the world Tolkien created. My preference is for slashfic and rarer ships. I think I may be the only person who has ever written Luthien/Galadriel.
My favourite of my own fanworks is a story I wrote a few years back for 3 Ships (a threesome fanfic exchange) with Aragorn/Boromir/Legolas. Unfortunately my recipient defaulted, but I was very happy with the story I'd written: Ever Northward Gaze (http://archiveofourown.org/works/321058) (rated M).
I also want to recommend the fic that was written for me in last year's Yuletide - not strictly Middle-earth, but certainly Tolkien - a fanfic for Smith of Wootton Major by Rachel Manija Brown: Queen of Berries (http://archiveofourown.org/works/554986) (rated G).
Really looking forward to seeing what B2MEM produces this year, perhaps if I have a chance or inspiration strikes, there will be something from myself at some point this month.
