I really loved this story. Your presentation of Glóin is delightful--a compassionate, yet no-nonsense sort of fellow. It's not only politically astute, but culturally Dwarfish, of him to consider outsiders' reactions to the interment of Fili and Kili and the ramifications of those reactions. And I'm a sucker for stories that discuss stories (I think metafictional is the word I'm looking for?).
