Ohhhhhh ... admittedly I'm not a consumer of much Silm fan fic, but this story really reframed the call to Aman for me. I know the elves of Cuivienen took their time making their way to those shores, but it never crossed my mind that that some went who did not really want to go. Nor that the cost would be joy, though sacrificed for love.
You bring out the youth of the very earth so vividly in this piece, the elemental-ness of its raw form and power. Both frightening and exhilarating at the same time for these new refugees. And you've left me imagining the disparity of life in Aman vs here in Endore.
