What an intriguing view of the Elves! I sometimes wonder where their connection to the earth went in fanworks - it's such a poignant theme in canon - and this went above and beyond what I thought it might be. I'm working on a story set at Cuiviénen, currently (that will later progress to Aman), and this really struck a chord with me in regards to the same sentiment I'm eventually hoping to convey:
They had lost this in Aman, the faerie joys, replaced by the weight of time and sad memory…
