(I got interrupted last night but now I can sit down and tell you all about how amazing this fic is! Because it is, it really is.)
First of all, your OCs are always wonderful. I really, really love Mirwain. The interactions between her and Meril were great (and the friendship between the two of them and Alphangil––there was that moment when Mirwain came up to them and they just kinda both put an arm around her and that was a moment I really liked because the three of them are just so awesome.)
The wave-jumping showing up at both the beginning and the end––with rather different emotion behind the last one––was a really nice way to end it.
Alphangil's comment about her and Fingon settling that dispute with Maedhros "in private" XD
And Mirwain hearing about her sons, I keep rereading that because it was so powerful. Also this line was beautiful:
"Jump a wave for luck," she mouthed, and launched herself up, over the oncoming wave and the sea and the Song and it all, with Meril and Alphangil to her left and right jumping in a shower of spray
