I'm so glad Thranduil resonated with you. I began writing him in this series prior to seeing the 2nd Hobbit movie and was a little bit put off by Peter's Thranduil, though I do have to admit, for me personally the portrayal is pretty close to the book. However, there is so very little canon for the Mirkwood king, that again - for me - it's almost like writing an OC. And while the subject matter for this series has revolved around the death of a wife & mother, it's been a lot of fun to play around with writing Thranduil as a father. It's hard for me to imagine an elf - who chooses to bring a child into the world at a certain time and place - not loving that child wholeheartedly.

I'd have to go back and look again, but I think you actually reviewed the first story in this series over on MPTT. The middle story is the set-up for how Aiollda the wolf pup/femme fatale joins Thranduil's retinue and becomes Legolas' guardian. But - I must warn you - it is far more fluffy this either this one or the first one. It was written for a Teitho Magic challenge.

Thank you for leaving such lovely remarks, Winter Witch!
