I also enjoyed your portrayal of Oropher as unwilling to pledge allegiance in order to gain aid. The world of difference between comfortably fed and willingly accepting deprivation in order to remain free of that Nodorian influence is remarkably well done here.
I really must go read up on whatever canon is avialable on Gil-Gilad; he's become a fascinating character over the course of reading these B2MEM challenges.
