Welcome to the Week 3 roundup post! It was a busy week, with numerous works to enjoy. Whether it’s a bit of lighthearted fun or darker themes you’re looking for, there’s bound to be something for everyone in this week’s plethora of prompt fills. Please note that some works may contain adult material; these have been marked with an asterisk*.

As we head rapidly toward the end of the month, please note that non-compilation pieces submitted this week should be in the queue before 11:30 PM GMT on Friday March 28th to be unlocked on March 29th. Any non-compilation pieces submitted after that point will be unlocked on April 1st, at which time open posting will also resume.

I liked many of the pieces here this week, but When Winter Comes stuck out particularly to me for conveying so well the melancholy of The Lord of the Rings, and poor Eowyn's feelings of being left out. The Fading by Kalypso was a poignant snapshot of one of my favourite places in ME, Lothlorien, in its last years, and Elladan's choices as a result of that.

Last but not least, The Ring and the Book was superb and a little unsettling (intentionally so) in its characterisation of the One Ring and the effects of the Ring on Bilbo.

For cleansing the pallet between intense fics, the fun fast read, Instead of Dark Lord You Would Have a Queen or Baby Aragorn Totally Has a Cat Phase is hysterical. If you enjoy humorous stories, you'll love this one!
