What a beautiful match for Oshun's story. I especially like the way you use the poem by Christina Rossetti--how that use corresponds to, but varies Oshun's use of the midwinter carol. Elros's reactions are so believable--I feel so sorry for him in the moment he drops that bowl--and his relationship with his brother is so well drawn. Unlike Oshun's story, here there seems not so much irony to "the worst is over", despite all that is still to happen, and the reader feels glad of it, for Elros. Very spring-like!
