Back to Middle-earth Month

This is a perfect piece for Gandalf POV, perceptive as he is, and his thoughts about Frodo and Sam are right on the mark. I particularly like the bit about Gerontius - oh, Gandalf, you had to be introduced to mortal vices sometime. ;) I think Tolkien could have done a more xomprehensive job of showing us Frodo's own mental trauma and the way he came through it, so I'm glad your Gandalf sees the full extent of Frodo's achievement.
