A lovely link of the seasons to the Quest. And I feel I understand Sam's character a little better -- Ah, how typical of the gardener, to realize his life reflected the turning of the season so well! (I never saw the connection before; I am the Anti-Gardener, I could not grow weed if I tried. *sigh*) I love that you include Smeagol among the heroes!
