I always love fics with Gandalf musing on the hobbits, and this was great! The blossoming/spring/renewal comparisons throughout were great, and the one part that really stood out to me was Gandalf thinking about Gerontius – because he's watched this family for so long, and that's ending now, but the feeling of love he has for Frodo and all the ones who came before is still so clearly felt.
