This is a truly beautiful moving story. I just loved it. I noticed the reference to Bede fairly early on as I love that story. I think we all wonder how we will be remembered and you explore this theme brilliantly. I just loved this. You have portrayed all the characters perfectly. I can just imagine Éomer wanting to ride out to greet Aragorn for the last time. You show what a remarkable man Éomer is that his friends should travel great distances to pay their farewells. It is an interesting idea that the heroes of LOTR had a part of the Gift in sensing their death was near.
