Back to Middle-earth Month

Thank you! My original intention was for the whole story to be seen through Eomer's eyes, and Aragorn was going to be his sounding board for his reflections on mortality. Then I remembered how much I'd enjoyed writing a short scene between Merry and an ageing Eowyn, so Merry appeared in the story, and ended up taking the whole thing over. It was a slow write, but eventually I managed to get Eomer on that horse!
