Back to Middle-earth Month

So I should have had faith and waited just another couple of days to claim the review stamp for a story set in my favorite place. I was delighted both to find a story starring Legolas and featuring Legolas in Mirkwood. Plus, I really liked your take on the prompt and the way you made it work for this piece rather than taking the standard route. You've done a great job of capturing how rapidly the seasons of the soul can change just by showing us day in the life of the wood elf. A portentous day certainly, but don't we all have days like this in our life, when we go from high Spring to deep Winter somewhere between dawn and dusk? I know I have. Sometimes it happens the other way around too, but for the me the spring to winter ones are the ones that live forever in my memory; those winter to spring moments are much more ephemeral and fleeting for me.
