I really enjoyed this, and Beren and Luthien are not one of my favorite couples so finding a story I like about them is always a positive. I enjoy the fact that you're allowing Beren to look world-worn, less than perfect and less than handsome. It seems much more valid. I also like the deference they practice between them - holding apart from touching until that last soft caress.
