I've been reading a book, "The Lost Star of Myth and Time", which is more about binary sun systems than religion, :) but your story, with the sacred circle of stones made me think both of that book and it's iterations of lost temples, observatories, and stone circles and how much WE have forgotten and how much the Men and Elves have forgotten as well. Time passes for everyone I suppose.
It's a good thing Aragorn has done here, even should it last only a handful of lifetimes, but it sets in stone (sorry for the pun) the idea that all men can be friends, we are allies and not enemies, and we all worship the "one" by whatever name/names it happens to hold. A lesson it seems they will hold in their hearts for a thousand years!
And it's nice to see Tahir, even if briefly; he's a fascinating person.
