Truthfully, before seeing the prompt I'd never thought of Glorfindel and Eowyn as friends - not that I thought they *didn't* like each other, I just hadn't thought they'd have much to do with each other. Then that prompt came around, and I was thinking it over, and finally it was just like...well, they both died, or nearly died, due to defending others from the Enemy and eventually returned from it, maybe they could bond over that. :) And the prompt including Glorfindel's prophecy made me want to involve Earnur somehow...
