I have so many thoughts on Finrod - he's been my favourite character from the First Age literally more than half my life. I love the passionate energy that clearly comes through in everything about him, especially in the Athrabeth, and his eternal curiosity.
I had a whole theory built up about *why* the plants could grow without photosynthesis but I figured if Finrod had started on that, Beor's UST would still be sadly unresolved!
