I'm very glad you wrote this, and that you could give these OCs a somewhat happier ending. The pieced-together format of the story works very well, I think -- it underlines how these characters (and so many others) have sort of slipped through the cracks of the chronicles and so a re-assembly is necessary to tell their story. If that makes any sense.
I want to add to what others have said, that I really appreciate the way you write about mental illness (both in this story and others).
