Until the problem is resolved, if you are one of the users affected by this bug, the best way to post to the community is to choose Post New Entry from the main LJ page, choose "To Community," and select "b2mem" from the dropdown.
I never had any idea there was any OTHER way to post to a community. But then I don't tend to read instructions. I got lucky this time.
