And so Back to Middle-earth Month 2016 begins!

Here are today’s prompts:

  • In the "Tale of the Years" Tolkien tells us about what happens to certain characters each day of March 3019. We challenge you to write about the character(s) he does NOT mention: “Frodo begins the passage of the Dead Marshes at dawn. Entmoot continues. Aragorn meets Gandalf the White. They set out for Edoras. Faramir leaves Minas Tirith on an errand to Ithilien."

  • A: Like an antagonistic Arwen

  • But the other Ainur looked upon this habitation set within the vast spaces of the World, which the Elves call Arda, the Earth; and their hearts rejoiced in light, and their eyes beholding many colours were filled with gladness; but because of the roaring of the sea they felt a great unquiet. And they observed the winds and the air, and the matters of which Arda was made, of iron and stone and silver and gold and many substances: but of all these water they most greatly praised. And it is said by the Eldar that in water there lives yet the echo of the Music of the Ainur more than in any substance else that is in this Earth; and many of the Children of Ilúvatar hearken still unsated to the voices of the Sea, and yet know not for what they listen.

  • Margaret Atwood once wrote: "We are learning to make a fire." Create your own story, poem or piece of art around this.

  • Voltaire said that it's not enough to conquer: one must learn to seduce. Write a story or poem or create artwork where seduction plays a central role.

I'm hoping I can finally finish some of my WIPs from B2MeM 2012! I'm going to go back to my spreadsheet and try to finish the stories as each bingo number is called.

Oh, I don't think people would need those explanations all the time. It was just because one or two people on my f-list said they were having difficulty starting off.
