Glad you liked it! Poor Merry and Pippin. They're all ready to go with Frodo on a deadly quest, and then get stuck in Rivendell for a couple of months. I like to imagine that their natural hobbityness is rather a shock to the elves, who until now have probably judged the entire species by a very elderly and bookish Bilbo.
