Back to Middle-earth Month

I am always contradicting myself on the characters of the sons of Feanor that don't start with an M! Which is probably why I started three separate stories about Caranthir defending the Dwarves without even really noticing until I went back through my 2012 folder of unfinished stuff. But in my mind, Caranthir finds it easier to deal with Dwarves than with most other Elves. Curufin, OTOH, took some time to accept that even if they don't look like him, they're still doing a damn good job in the forge. (Later, of course, he'll respect them a bit more and even try to learn Khuzdul. Maybe the seeds for that were sown in this ficlet. ;))

I feel horrible about the glowing nose by implication, but I just couldn't resist! XD
