Thank you! It was one of the darkest moments in elvish history, and the beginning of the public visibility of Feanor's madness. I couldn't make light of such an event, but the sons of Feanor were caught between their public oath and duty to their father, and the knowledge that they were performing heinous acts on his behest. It was a nasty time.
