I didn't make any calculations re: Elven ages vs Men. Actually, Dawn Felagund did all the work for her novel Another Man's Cage around ten years ago and I am so lazy I haven't tried to figure it out for myself since then but just borrow what she did from her story. I relied on memory so I might be way out on the numbers in this fic!
But I did it deliberately - I thought that 66 and 6 would come together like 666 subtly in peoples' minds and make them think of either Morgoth or Sauron or both, who was/were stalking the Men at the time. Hehehehe - I am so evil! LOL.
