In my 'verse, the Noldor in general sense the malignancy of Angband, but some of the Noldor are more sensitive to it than others, either due to their innate abilities or because they have been in captivity. Maedhros is obviously one of the latter, although he also has a bit more dormant potential for osanwe than he is aware of.
