Title: Frail

Summary: Frodo's encounter with Sharkey is a nightmarish one, preying on the Ringbearer's deepest, darkest fears.
Smell of pipeweed in the air, strong and thick and choking. I haven't been able to abide it since the Mountain. Sam can, but I cannot bear it.
But worse than that...the voice whispering to my mind....
You are as good as dead, or will be soon enough. Why didn't you die, as you should have, at the Mountain? You failed. You're no good to anyone...frail, useless, spent, and weak!
No, I try to argue, no. That's not true. It isn't true!
But it tells me what I fear most, and so I cannot help but feel it is true.
