Without a doubt, I'm quite sure they were amazed at the sun and it's daily passage over the arc of the sky. I've always been amazed by the fact that it was just a small amount of Laurelin's light that is held by the sun. Can you imagine how brightly the Two Trees must have shone back in Valinor?
