Very interesting philosophical discussion over the carcass of a child's toy. I liked the rationale that you espouse here.

he also has your easy smile

Aww...I've always imagined Feanor as rather gloomy. This is a nice change of scenery!

Also, an interesting exchange between two people who seemingly would have had no connection. Thank you for the notes! It's interesting to explore how one might have influenced another. I guess one could assume that Saruman's affinity to Melkor started way back then.

This is very well done, and both are so in character that it was a delight to read the story.

Your stories continue to astound me. Very profound insights and meditations in very little space all wrapped in fantastic writing...

I love the easy familiarity Feanor has with Curumo, and the beginnings of Saruman's mind of metal and wheels. Very nicely done!

Great explorations of the both the "deep thoughts" aspect and the characters.

Am picturing Curumo singing to little!Maglor and suffering from a warm fuzzy feeling. (And, his assertion that Ainur cannot change is a bit sadly ironic, given what we know if his later history.)

I find Huinare has managed to voice my own thoughts. It is wonderful to think that Curumo was able to wish for a closeness with a child, even if he thought better of it. But I grieve that he demonstrated all too well how he was able to change in the end.
