B2MeM Challenge: G51, Roles and Names of Aragorn, "Lover"; Weather, "Snow"
Format: Triple Drabble
Genre: Romance
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: *hands out fans* (though hopefully this is tasteful)
Characters: Aragorn, Arwen
Pairings: Aragorn/Arwen
Summary: Elessar warms up a snowy day in Annúminas.
Elessar sneaked up behind Arwen and put his arms around her waist. He rested his chin on her shoulder. “‘Tis beautiful, the snow.”
Arwen put her hands on his. “I never tire of watching it. Gondor’s winters are so mild that I feel I must store up every vision of falling snow here in Annúminas, to take with me when we return south.”
“Are you warm enough, vanimelda? It’s a little drafty by this window.” He pulled her closer to him and brushed his lips against her neck. “I wouldn’t want you to catch a chill.”
“I do not catch chills.”
He pulled her tighter against him and stepped back. “But what if there is a first time? Best not risk it.”
She giggled as he continued pulling her, all the way to their bed where he fell back, settling her atop his lap. “And if I were to catch a chill? What would you do about it?”
“Well, if I recall correctly, it is best to get the victim out of her wet clothes as soon as possible.” He moved his hand upward, reaching for the clasp at her neckline and enjoying the soft curves he encountered along the way. He unhooked it and slipped his hand inside. “And sometimes, if a victim is very, very cold, one must use one’s own body heat to warm her up.”
“But my clothes are not wet, nor am I very cold.”
He reached for the nightstand with his free hand and picked up a glass of water. He slowly dribbled a stream of it down her sleeve. “Oh dear. You’re soaking.”
Her eyes gleamed. “Suddenly I feel very, very cold. I may indeed have caught a chill.”
“Then let me remedy that, my love.”
And he proceeded to do just that.
