We Have a Winner! (So What's Next??)

Actually, we have five seven eight winners on N38, and the day has just begun for many of our participants. :) Congrats to Lady Brooke (who actually hit twice, on both winning cards!), Kim, Starlight, Mirach, Crackinandproudofit, Gwenniel, Linda Hoyland, and Eärille, who are our first players to get a BINGO on their cards! The winning cards were Silmarillion vs. Harry Potter Character Match and Canon Couples.

Anyone who gets BINGO on N38 will join the winners' club. Because our participants hail from timezones all over the world, the B2MeM mods decided we'd rather have multiple winners than declare first, second, third place (and so on) based on the order in which participants report BINGO. Since the BINGO number is posted in the middle of the night for some of our players and late afternoon for others, it puts some at a disadvantage and therefore isn't fair to make winning contingent on the time you report in to request your stamps. So we will in all likelihood have more good news to celebrate as the day wears on!

So what happens next? We're going to keep playing until the end of the month. We'll continue awarding banners for second place, third place, and so on. We have many players who are very close to BINGO and still thirteen numbers yet to call!

The best thing is I have checked my player page to see if my cards have been stamped a grand total of one time. I could've had Bingo and been completely none the wiser XD

....question, can those of us who have won keep requesting stamps? It's not that I want another Bingo, but at the end of the month, I was planning to go back and write any that interested me that I didn't already have written. And that's a lot easier with stamps. But I know how much work that is as well for the stampers. (Especially you, Dawn, since you have me. And I have 85 cards, at last count...)

Exactly! :) The broader mission of B2MeM has always been to keep our fandom alive (it started after the last movie, when the hype began to die down and the lack of a new movie meant that we started to see less participation) and--more specific to the groups that sponsor it now--providing an excuse once per year to write new stories and meet new friends! :D Based on the feedback I'm getting, I think many people are finding both to be true this year. :)

Congratulations to all the winner. I've had a hiatus for the past two days as none of my 5 cards have the numbers on - which was a good thing yesterday as I was somewhat busy all day (concert with my orchestra) and today is not that much quieter. Going to try and get some tagging done however round student meetings.

Certainly finding I am managing to keep up with the prompts - and it is getting me writing again which is good. Going to keep going to the end of the month - I have a few cards with bingos getting close so we shall see if I manage to get there by end of month.
