"Your turn, Merry."
Merry glared at Pippin. "I do believe it's *your* turn."
Pippin shook his head. "I'm quite sure that it's *yours*. Or maybe - " He looked sideways at Sam. "Possibly it's Sam's turn."
Sam shook his head. "I'm quite certain it ain't mine, Master Pippin."
Merry looked to the head of the table. "Perhaps it's Frodo's turn."
"You're not pulling that one on me, Merry. Nine-fingered hobbits don't *do* dishes."
"Are you so sure about that?" asked Merry, arching an eyebrow. Frodo glared at him.
"Well, it had better be *somebody's* turn," said Rosie, rising and placing her hands firmly on the table, "since I *did* cook the meal. Are you going to tell me you fine heroes can march clear across all of Middle-earth and yet not one of you can wash and dry a few plates and cups?"
The four adventurers exchanged glances between each other and back toward Rosie.
"I'll wash," said Merry, rising.
"I'll dry," Pippin said, following him.
-the end!-
