Title: By the Pricking of her Thumb...

Characters: Merry, Estella, Pippin
Pairings: Merry and Estella implied
Summary: Something disturbs Merry's nap.






Merry swatted the fly.  Its constant buzz had spoiled his nap.  Half awake, he heard voices.

“Ouch, Pippin!”

“It’s just a small prick, Estella.  Get used to it.”

“You’re wicked!”

“Just try it again.  I‘m getting stiff, sitting here.”

Merry hurried toward them, in a rage.

“Peregrin Took, I‘ll tear you apart!”  he shouted, coming up behind them.  “I don’t care how stiff your prick is, you aren’t putting it into Estella!”

Estella held up a sewing needle.

“My *leg* is stiff,” Pippin grinned. “from sitting here for ages.  I’m teaching Estella to use a thimble.”

Embarrassed, Merry walked away.

I wrote that he 'blushed to the roots of his hair' then wound up with too many words for a drabble and had to take the blushing bit out. : )
