Hey everyone! Given the changes in mods over the years, we felt it would be a good idea for us to do this so you know who we are.
Independence1776
Indy (indy1776 on LJ) has been a part of the Tolkien fandom for over a decade. While she can normally be found writing about Maglor, Elrond, and some of the people related to them, her reading taste is far more varied and encompasses the Years of the Trees to the Fourth Age and beyond. (She has a not-so-secret love for Maglor in history and Elves in the present day.) She first participated in B2MeM in 2009, started volunteering for B2MeM in 2012, became a mod in 2013, and became head mod in 2015.
Linaewen
Linaewen (lin4gondor on LJ) fell in love with Middle-earth several decades ago when she began reading Tolkien -- since that time, she has done her best to read everything written by him and about him she can get her hands on. She eventually turned to writing in the fandom when she ran out of things to read, and because there were not enough stories about Boromir. She has been a Boromir fan since the beginning, and he and his fellow Gondorians feature heavily in much of her writing. Linaewen first participated in B2MeM in 2013; this is her first year serving as a mod.
Dawn Felagund
Dawn is the founder and owner of the Silmarillion Writers' Guild, which helped to first popularize Back to Middle-earth Month more than a decade ago. This is Dawn's twelfth year moderating B2MeM. It's to the point that she forgets which year belongs to which event. (Even Bingo.) Dawn writes mostly Silmarillion-based fiction and essays and is especially in love with the House of Finwë. When not doing fannish stuff, Dawn can be found making art and stories, designing websites, teaching, standing on metaphorical soapboxes, and schlepping around the countryside in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom.
Zdenka
Zdenka (lignota on LJ) grew up with Tolkien's books but discovered fandom relatively late. She first started writing Tolkien fanfic in 2011. She enjoys a wide variety of Middle-earth characters, settings, and genres, but she most often writes Silmarillion-based gen and femslash. She sometimes attempts Tolkien-inspired poetry. Zdenka has been helping out with B2MeM since 2012 by doing tagging for the B2MeM LJ community. This is her first year as a mod.
Ysilme
Ysilme has loved Tolkien since her first visit to Middle-earth at age ten, but discovered the online fandom only in 2013. She most enjoys exploring the lore and culture of Elves through the Ages with a strong focus on the Second Age and Rivendell. Mainly a fanfic writer and reader, she occasionally also dabbles in other fanworks like drawing, podfic, and making banners and icons for various LJ communities. Together with Dreamflower, she co-mods the project Read Lord of the Rings Aloud on LJ. She first participated in B2MeM in 2014 and became a mod in 2016.
