I quite like Aredhel! I'm very fond of her eldest brother, and according to my headcanon, they're very similar.

It's not just your headcanon. :) I think they were very similar. They had much more in common than she and Turgon. I still don't get it, why she went with him to Gondolin. Unless it had something to do with love/hate for the sons of Fëanor? Turgon never forgave them for what they did, Fingon apparently did (well, he forgave Maedhros, that's for sure) and Aredhel...?

True! Their impetuousness are expressed in different ways, and Aredhel was no doubt limited by what she could do in a patriarchal society...

Well, she did initially leave Gondolin to visit the Fëanorians... it can't have been that conflicted any more. Unless she was really really sick of Tumladen. ;)
