B2MeM Challenge: Written in response to the following prompt by [livejournal.com profile] kayleelupin: "While Aragorn is travelling during his time as Thorongil […] he meets up with Gandalf, who is likewise travelling. They share an adventure…"

Format: Short story
Genre: Drama. Adventure (of sorts). Outsider viewpoint. Gen.
Rating: PG
Warnings: None
Characters: Original male character, Aragorn and Gandalf.
Pairings: None
Author's notes: Firstly, this something of a sideways response to the prompt. Aragorn and Gandalf do indeed have an adventure, and it's an epic one, full of thrilling heroics and desperate deeds. However, said thrilling adventure is seen through the eyes of a boy who stumbles onto the periphery of their tale, and sees only fragments of it. Secondly, in LotR Gandalf says "to the East I go not," so I have set this in the very westerly parts of "East," with huge expanses of more Easty "East" off eastwards. I am stubbornly believing that by "the East" Gandalf means these eastier bits of East, and this adventure in the westy bits of East therefore Doesn't Count!

Summary: While undergoing his Trial of Manhood, a young boy stumbles upon a wounded man...

Author: Erulisse (one L)
Title: Surrounded by Ghosts
Rating: G with hints of PG
Theme: B2MeM 2015
Elements: Maglor and the Doors of Khazad-dûm
Author's Notes: Disclaimer: Tolkien built the sandbox, I only play with the bucket and shovel that he left for me. No money, profit or non, is made from the publication of this story.
Summary: During his wanderings in the Second Age or later, Maglor passes by the Doors of Khazad-dum (it could be before or after the fall or Eregion). What are his thoughts on seeing the Star of Feanor on the side of a mountain? Posted on 2-26-15 by [livejournal.com profile] lignota

B2MeM Challenge: The Shire: Sam meets Maglor.
Format: short story - 2172 words
Genre: Gapfiller
Rating: G
Warnings: none
Characters: Sam, Maglor, Frodo, Elrond
Pairings: none
Creators' Notes: This is another story where Maglor is responsible for the creation of one of the songs in LOTR. Sam's Song In The Orc-Tower is incredibly important to me personally, and this is a bit of an homage to how much it means to me.
Summary: Sam and Maglor meet twice in their lives, once long before the Ring Quest, and once long after.

B2MeM Challenge: (Prompt by [livejournal.com profile] heartofoshun) I am an absolute sucker for anything Feanor/Nerdanel. The story itself does not have to be a conventional romance. Doesn't even have to be het. Anything goes for me with these two. Foreshadow dark if you must, but I would just love some sweet early relationship something or another.
Format: Short Story
Genre: Romance, Family
Rating: PG
Warnings: None
Characters: Fëanor, Nerdanel
Pairings: Fëanor/Nerdanel
Creators' Notes (optional): For simplicity, I have used the characters' Sindarin names. Un-beta'd.
Summary:
Fëanor struggles with his feelings.

B2MeM Challenge: General Prompts: "Write a story...reflecting identification with or connection to one’s land, country or culture." This is possibly a somewhat different sort of connection to the land than envisioned! But it does have a little subtle reference to the poem quoted in the prompt.
Format: Short Story - 6000 words.
Genre: Romance
Rating: Explicit Adult
Warnings: Fairly graphic sex
Characters: Maedhros, Fingon, Maglor, Fingolfin
Pairings: Fingon/Maedhros, Maglor/Tasteless Jokes, Maglor/Sarcastic Poetry, Fingolfin/Planning
Creators' Notes (optional): This story came out of two things: the beautiful poem quoted in the prompt, and me wondering about why Fingon rules Dor-lomin. The title is from the Darren Hayes song "Explode".
Summary: Not long after Thangorodrim, Fingon takes Maedhros on a walking holiday through the country that would become known as Dor-lomin, and falls in love with the land. (He's already in love with Maedhros.)

B2MeM Challenge: From [livejournal.com profile] indy1776: Family traditions, from the silly to the serious. Are the children read to at bedtime every night or do they exchange silly gifts on birthdays/Yule/etc. or do they light candles for deceased family on a certain day of the year? Maybe silly games like “pinch punch first of the month” or do they have a game night once a week? Or are there traditions for spotting the first spring flower, firefly, or something of that nature?
Something, anything about family traditions

Format: Drabble
Genre: Family,
Rating: G
Warnings: n/a
Characters: Frodo Gardner, Harding of the Hill
Pairings: n/a
Creators' Notes (optional): Why was the "Gardner" surname dropped after only two generations? I've speculated on that for a while. Perhaps Harding was a bit more socially ambitious than was usual in the family, and wanted to put certain bits of family history behind him.
Summary: For three generations the Toast on September 22 has taken place in Bag End. Will it continue to a fourth?

B2MeM Challenge:

Format: Chaptered fic

Genre: Family/Adventure

Rating:

Warnings:

Characters: Faramir, Theoden, Eomund, Theodwyn, Theodred, OC's

Pairings: Eomund/Theodwyn

Creators' Notes (optional): I disclaim any text that you recognise as Tolkien’s, from “The King of the Golden Hall.” I also disclaim descriptions from “Stirrings of Shadow”, my late Atto Fiondil’s story of Aragorn’s time amongst the Rohirrim, which I have adopted as part of my headcanon concerning Rohan and the Rohirrim. He gave me the right to play in his ‘verse; this story is done partially in tribute to him, and with love to his memory.

”Earntungol” is the Rohirric rendering of “Thorongil”, according to my Atto Fiondil’s fic Stirrings of Shadow. Cyneheard is the Rohirric name chosen by Aragorn’s maternal uncle Beren, and Baldric is as near to a Rohirric rendering of “Targon” as I could come. In my headcanon, Aragorn rode with two of his youngest uncles – one from each side of the family – on his travels South. Beren married a woman of Rohan, and Targon alone accompanied Aragorn to Ecthelion’s court.

Summary: Faramir and his companions reach Edoras, and are escorted into the hall of Theoden King.
