What a spectacular landscape you found to illustrate this quote! The mountains really do look forbidding, and the dark sand and crashing waves seem to foreshadow the fate of Maglor (and his Silmaril). Along with the stark words of the Prophecy of the North, it really gives me the shivers. A very effective and moving combination!

This is just perfect - it really gives me the chills.
Also reading the quote again just threw me back to my first time reading the Silmarillion - I remember being so appalled that the Valar would doom all the Noldor - including all their potentially unborn children and their descendants! - for the kinslaying. There are a lot of different interpretations of the whys and hows of that prophecy - but this graphic vividly recalled the outrage I felt back then for me!

Oh, wow! That definitely fits the mental landscape and embodied mood/weather I've had of Araman, Indy. Very powerful, and I love how the quote interacts with the rocks, especially as something of a counterweight to them graphically, but just as (or more!) unyielding.

Thank you! It's a fairly close match to my image, too, though I do picture a more stormy sky. My first attempt had the quote on the beach but it both didn't fit and didn't look right.
