Summary: Lobelia muses on Frodo's inheritance of Bag End and how wronged she feels.
Author's Notes: Lobelia is one of the few Tolkien characters I really dislike, but I did reflect on this prompt, and my own experiences with envy led me to think that maybe Lobelia and I would understand each other a bit. This grew out of that reflection.



It isn't fair, it just isn't fair. That Frodo inheriting Bag End, and him more than half a Brandybuck! How in the world Bilbo could do such a thing is beyond me. And the nerve of him, throwing those spoons in my face like that! Why, if he were here I'd have a notion to give him a good piece of my mind. As it is, I'll give one to Frodo. Let him have everything the master of Bag End should have, in my opinion. He just doesn't understand what it's like for me. Not at all. No, he doesn't.

Really, when you think about it, she does always wind up getting passed over. I can see her POV. Good use of the prompt.

And a good part of the reason she gets passed over is because she is so obviously eager to get her hands on the good stuff! I feel for her, but also am glad she and Otho got ousted from the running as they did.
