You definitely succeeded with the horror aspect. I had to stop reading about half way through. Way too creepy! Well done. :-D

I liked this one so much I read it twice. I like anything that combines seemingly disparate elements like humor and horror or tragedy, and this story does so in a particularly memorable way.

(Also I'm glad you happened to tag it "crack treated seriously" on AO3. Being a bit out of the loop, I hadn't realized yet that that's an official trope. This is good information to have.)

It's a bit of a Frankenstein...

Figuratively, and somewhat literally!

The instant I saw that tag, I was like "Where was this information when I was posting x, y, and z!?"

"Birds would fall from the sky, apparently struck dead from sheer weirdness."

I sort of sympathize. You've stirred more things into that cauldron than I would have thought it could hold--but somehow the story works really well, nevertheless!

Definitely horror! Dr. Frankenstein must have learned his craft here! Well wrought.

That was delightfully fucked up, and I wish I could have been a fly on the wall for the Chuck Tingle beta. "A Silmaril Stole My Butt Virginity" "Hate-Pounded in the Butt by My Undead Elf Lover" ?
