B2MeM 2016 Thank Yous!

We wish to thank everyone who participated in Back to Middle-earth Month this year. There were nearly two hundred fanworks posted here in the community. Whether by creating, reviewing, or both, you helped keep the fandom alive.

We also wish to thank our mod team: indy1776 was our head mod this year as well as a tagger and poster of prompts. dreamflower02 wrote and posted all of the retrospective posts on past B2MeM events. ysilme was both a new mod this year and helped post the prompts. dawn_felagund volunteered to help post the prompts as well as do background work despite working on her thesis. angelica_ramses, huinare, and rhapsodythebard were likewise wonderful help during the planning and running-the-event stages.

We especially would like to thank lignota, who volunteered to help tag for the fifth year in a row!

A final note: B2MeM prompts never expire so feel free to use them to create fanworks throughout the year. This community and our AO3 collections are likewise open year-round for posting of works inspired by the prompts.

As always, thank you for all your hard work! It's been a lot of fun, and it's only been possible because all of you brave mods and volunteers. Rock on!

One question: I didn't manage to find the retrospective discussion post for last year's B2MeM event... am I being stupid, or was that just not posted yet?

It was a fun month! I enjoyed writing stories for prompts I had planned on writing ahead of time, as well as those that were more spontaneous -- full-fledged stories appearing the minute I saw a prompt. I've collected so many prompts, I'll never run out of things to write! I only managed to post a few stories during the month, but with the prompts not expiring, I'll be back with more eventually -- I have lots of WIPs now. ;-)

I loved participating in this year's BeMeM and wish I had managed my time management a bit better, but life got in the way. I still plan to finish, but (obviously) not specifically in March. Thanks to all of the organizers and mods for putting on a great B2MeM once again!

Congrats to all the mods, volunteers, writers, and artists who made this year's event happen! And a special thank-you to Indy--you did a fabulous job running the show this year. :)

I can't believe we've been doing this for ten years. (I even dusted off my oldest B2MeM icon to commemorate.)
