I love this. The way the colors mix, the creepiness of the spider, it's all so beautifully done.

That works really well--the spider's body like a half-eclipsed black sun--and the ominous red...

I think that they should buy this from you and put it in the next edition of the Silm, honestly. This is amazing.

Thank you!

I like this VERY much. The hint of spider and the way you have your colors assigned - just wonderful. I could see this on my wall.

Oooh, the blend between the abstract/ random colours where one just thinks one can discern trees and towers, and the very clear-cut and dark shape of Ungoliant is really effective. The legs in particular are fantastic, I don't know why but they work spectacularly well. Fantastic work!

Wow! The cloud of darkness around her, spilling into and taking over the light, the faint vestige of a city in the background far away, and the light, still lingering....

Terrific! I usually find it difficult to "get" abstract art, and mostly, I don't really manage. This resonates very deeply with me, and I really like how the shapes, colours and shadows evoke so many different things from and about your subject.

This is just beautiful. I love the way the shapes give a sense of order--of cities, of forests--and also of light, but in their midst, the shadow, the spider. And, of course, they are all a cohesive part of the same world.

I'm assuming you did Ungoliant last? (One of the things I love about your work is staring at it long and trying to figure out how you did it. :D)

Chilling! I love the abstract art - it lends itself so very well to a scene like this that might be hard to depict with conventional means. There's a lot of power in the shapes this suggests, I really like it.
