This is amazing and beautiful and I adore it. When I look at it, I sort of see Lena (or whatever she would have called herself back then) standing on the Ezellohar behind the two Valier, watching her beloved Kyelperyon and his mate in tears. (I hope it's not weird that your art makes me think of my own (and Anne's) writing as well as the actual Silm.)

Did I hear someone say 'desktop'? Am I allowed to borrow it for that? :D

Of course you can use the art for your desktop. It does look very pretty - it's on my desktop too now.

All my digital artwork and icons are available from artbox, my graphics com, but I've been very bad at updating it of late. It's on my to do list. I just ask for a link back or credit.

I'm glad I took the extra step of checking this image on Photobucket now that direct linking is disabled. Everything about this is amazing, from the palette and composition to the idea of that exact moment of hope flowering again. I'm both breathless and starry-eyed by this, definitely one of the favourite artworks I've seen on my review spree so far!
