Summary:  Thoughts of an heir
Authors Notes: Slightly changed from what I started as I didn't finish this yesterday and the prompt for today gave me new ideas

Thorongil stood and bowed, before saying “My lord, my lady.”

One of the entrants to the room scowled slightly as he realised that the mysterious captain of no known family had arrived before him to his father’s private dining room. His wife on the other hand smiled at Thorongil who returned it.

Denethor had no reason to suspect the captain, but the fact that Finduilas had a good relationship with him disturbed him further. Thorongil on the other hand liked the lady because she reminded him of his own love so far away and far beyond him in the north.

Thanks - I am just really starting to write a bit again (well write stuff that isn't technical electronic engineering papers). This popped straight into my head when I saw the prompt was Denethor for today...

There may be more to come - depending on where the muse takes me - and where the prompts lead. Not good at the moment at tying them together into a whole story but that is really because I am just startring to write again after a false start last year.

The prompts are so over the map this year. I don't see how anyone could easily keep a single storyline working easily.
