I have questions about your stories!

1. I'm sure I've asked this one before, but what are the names of Tahir and Adiva's elder sons? (I think you told me their firstborn was Nasih, but I'm not sure of that. I know they have three besides Beren-Bahadur, and I remember Adiva fretting over one of their Harad-born sons getting the ritual markings but I can't remember if that was Nasih or another one)

2. Do you think the Moon Lord of Tahir and Adiva's religion might be based on some long-ago knowledge of Tilion? (And my goodness, if Tilion and Badra had a child together, no wonder Tahir and Adiva's tribe is so special! What a thought...)

3. Elbeth is Boromir's daughter, right? What happened to her mother? I feel like I should know, but I've forgotten.

4. If any of Aragorn/Arwen's children or Faramir/Eowyn's married into Tahir/Adiva's family, which children would do so? Would any of Eomer/Lothiriel's children also marry into their family?

5. Does Falah have any husband or children at any point in time?

6. Speaking of Falah, I remember from the wedding story that she refers to Tahir as "our honoured master" when speaking of herself and Adiva. Is that because Haradric custom makes Adiva subservient to Tahir as well (even if he doesn't treat her that way?)

7. What are Adiva's parents' names and Tahir's mother's name? I think Adiva's parents must have had a very interesting relationship, considering her mother was his "favourite wife" (out of how many? Were Adiva's stepmothers kind or cruel to her?)

8. And finally, since I've gotten all long-winded (sorry! I'm as inquisitive as a Took! LOL!) One last thing, I promise...for now, anyway...

What is the exact familial relationship between the Kha Khan and Tahir/Adiva?

1.The eldest son is Rami, I haven't named the second one, I don't think. Two sons were born in Harad and two daughters and a son in Gondor to date.
2. I actually based the religion on pre Islamic Arabia, but no reason Tilion could not have been the moon god.
3.Elbeth's mother was killed by her lover in Web of Treason.
4.I would imagine it would be most likely one of Faramir's younger sons who married in Tahir's family if anyone did.
5.I haven't yet decided if Falah should ever marry, I do sometimes think about it.
6.Custom dictates that if Adiva had no sons her handmaid would be expected to bear some(Like Leah and Rachel's maids in the Bible). In Harad, the wife's handmaid is treated as the husband's property.Tahir would also be entitled to decide he wants extra children with Falah.
7.I admit I don't know, at least not yet. Adiva's stepmothers were kind enough but thought her a strange girl.
8.The Kha Khan is a first cousin of Tahir.

Besides the Fellowship, Bilbo and Gollum, what Lord of the Rings character appeals to you the most and why?

What do you like most about creating original characters? (I don't know if this fits as a LotR question, so feel free to ignore.)

I love Arwen and Galadriel as strong women.
Halbarad is another favourite. I love his loyalty and self sacrifice. I love Eomer too with his loyalty and enthusiasm.

I like the freedom OCs give me and I like to give Aragorn new people to interact with.

I could second all of those characters. Eomer is one of my favorites in the whole book, and Galadriel - I would have liked the character regardless but because Cate played her in the films she gets elevated even more.

Freedom is a good way of putting it. The world is so large and interesting, it's fun to play around with it apart from the main cast of characters.

Thanks for such an interesting answer! I had never thought about disliking any of one's OC's but of course it makes sense when one must insert a 'bad guy' into a story.
