Elwing and Earendil were descended from both men and elves. Do you think they appeared more like the race of men, or like elves? (After Earendil made his choice to be numbered among the Firstborn, I always assumed he began to appear more elf-like.)

I'd like to ask a few questions:

1. Who was the very first Elf that you wrote about?

2. Who has become your favourite to write about? (I think I probably know the answer to this one.) :P

3. I believe you've written a number of OC's - which one is your favourite and why?

4. What area of The Silmarillion do you believe you are most knowledgeable about?

You're welcome and thank you for the most interesting answers! I had no idea the Valar part was your favourite of the Silm. IMO there isn't enough about Carnistir but there are so many gaps that need to be filled and enough information, however brief, that many of us could come up with to write some believably great fics. (I know so many have been written already but alas, I have not read them all.)

What a beautiful piece of art for Ulmo! He is indeed probably the most interesting Vala. I loved reading about him in the Silm, especially the part when he brought those dreams to Finrod and Turgon when they slept beside the Sirion and then guided Turgon to the Vale of Tumladen. He is just very special.

I have just finished reading those two fics you mentioned: Brothers and The Halls of Mandos. I love your interpretation of Carnistir and his innate ability to sense when Namo is close. Their conversations together are wonderful! Have you written anything about after Carnistir was slain and actually did go to the Halls? I'd love to read that.

Lost Shadows! Oh thank you! Btw, I left reviews at the SWG on both Brothers and The Halls of Mandos but I don't think the SWG site forwards them by e-mail. Not sure, but I don't think so.

One more question for today - have you written any fic with Ulmo in it? If not, are you planning to?
