2018 Thank Yous and Celebration Post
Apr. 2nd, 2018 09:24 amWe want to thank everyone who participated in Back to Middle-earth Month 2018. This was our first year using Dreamwidth as a platform, and we are glad that our first year in our new online home was a success!
We had over 25 people post nearly 100 fanworks across at least three platforms: the B2MeM comm on Dreamwidth, AO3, and SWG.
In order to keep the event a success, we’re interested to know what we can improve on for next year. To that end, we made a short poll we’d like you to answer. The poll will close on April 16 at 8 AM Eastern.
We also want to thank our moderators: Independence1776, Zdenka, Linaewen, DawnFelagund, and Angelica_Ramses, as well as our tagging volunteer Just_jenni.
The Music of the Waters prompts-- both fanwork and comment-- will remain available for use year-round. If you’re still working on a project (or two or three or…), you are welcome to post them in the Dreamwidth community, the AO3 collection, and whatever archives and sites you normally use whenever you’re done with them.
We hope to see you again next year!

Date: 2018-04-02 05:32 pm (UTC)one note re: the survey, should the "What parts of this year's B2MeM did you participate in?" question allow for multiple answers? i definitely both participated in the comment challenge and created for the fanwork prompts...

Date: 2018-04-03 10:13 am (UTC)(A side note on one of the poll questions: as far as I can see, there wasn't really a MPTT monthly challenge (LOTR Community Challenge) that was current and running in parallel. The last one posted was for February.)

Date: 2018-04-03 12:23 pm (UTC)(Thanks for pointing that out, but I don't think it'll affect the poll results much. We're mostly trying to get a feel for how many participants do things in addition to B2MeM.)

Date: 2018-04-03 01:50 pm (UTC)Life for me got unexpectedly insane this month and I hardly got around to writing, but I'm pretty happy I managed to finish all the comment challenges, if last minute. These were really great :D
